Recipe: Birthday Pawty Cake

Birthday PAWty cake recipe

This delicious homemade dog recipe will make the PAWfect celebration treat for your four-legged friend.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup mashed pumpkin
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 1 cup plain flour (or spelt flour)
  • 1 tsp baking soda

    Icing
  • 1 cup low-fat yoghurt
  • 1 cup peanut butter (xylitol-free)

How to make:

Preheat oven to 180 deg C
Combine apple sauce, mashed pumpkin, honey, eggs and peanut butter in a bowl
Combine flour and baking soda in a separate bowl
Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients
Pour into cake tin and bake for 25-30 mins at 180 deg C
Leave to cool

Icing
Combine low-fat yoghurt and peanut butter and spread over cake
