Cheesy pup pops

Here's a simple and delicious recipe to treat your furry best friend. Just remember, these are only to be used for special occasions, they're not an everyday treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup grated low fat cheddar cheese
  • 3 tbs olive oil
  • 3 tbs applesauce
  • 1/2 cup vegetables, chopped (carrots or peas)
  • 1 cup brown rice flour (or oat flour or cooked rice)
  • Add just enough milk to bring all the ingredients together. If your dog is lactose intolerant, choose a rice or almond milk.

How to make:

  1. Preheat an oven to 180° C
  2. Combine all the ingredients until a sticky ball forms
  3. Cover and chill for an hour, then roll into bite-sized balls or roll onto a floured surface and cut into shapes
  4. Bake at 180° C for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
